Hi, I'm Melissa, I am a woman and a wounded healer. And I have been  working with women and girls for more than 20 yrs.  During my career, I have noticed several patterns with women.

A significant pattern is that we have all been programmed to stay thin and small and are expected to fit a societal ideal. This creates body compliance for most of us.  We stop listening to our bodies and begin listening to input outside of ourselves at a very young age. We are shown images of thin, beautiful women with the unspoken message that their physical appearance is what makes them valuable.

This way of thinking led me to disordered eating at a very young age.  I believed my eating was shameful and that I was out of control so I found ways to control and manage my eating and stay thin.

I did extensive work in all areas of my life but didn't realize until a few years before the creation of this course, that I had been programmed to ignore my body cues and communication.  So, I unlearned the "rules," started listening to my body and became an embodied eater.  It transformed the way I experience life. I am no longer held captive to societal expectations and feel an indescribable freedom!

If you are here, you are also tired of chasing thinness and the shame and guilt that comes with it. I hope this course helps you find a way out of this emotional prison and into a true embodied relationship with food and your body.
